Hello Ebenezer family,

I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I trust all is well with everyone. Chanda and I are doing fine. However, keep us in your prayers as we are doing the same for you.

I thank you all for your prayers for the Burns family, during the loss and the home going celebration for Sister Doris Burns, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and community “friend-parent to so many.” Please continue praying for our dear brother David Brown, who is in Chesapeake General Hospital. Also, I ask that you pray for our dear sister Tina Bagby, who underwent surgery this morning. Let’s pray for a healthy and speedy recovery.

I’m inviting as many church members as police, who want to attend a Virtual Media ministry demonstration, concerning the use of RightNow Media, a Virtual Discipleship library. The more views and feedback of the ministry, the better it will be for making a decision concerning the purchase and use for our church now and reaching the next generations, which is greatly needed. The demonstration is scheduled for Wednesday, February 20, 2021 at 5pm EST. It will be a zoom presentation, with the capability of hearing it audibly as well. Please, please make an effort to be a part of the presentation. We’re in a new season of ministry and must begin making ministry adjustments for the posterity of our church. Thanks in advance for your prayerful consideration and participation.

Leaders, please mark your calendar for our leadership training March 6, 2021 at 9:30am - 11:30am. It is a must make training in preparation for the transformation and transitioning of our ministry for now and next. All who are interested in becoming a leader at EBC, you are certainly welcome. The books have been ordered for our leadership reading drive. The cost for the book is $5. Please make all transactions with Sister Pamela Watts (for those who will be attending leadership training each month). I am excited and looking forward to seeing you then. There will be a guest facilitator, who is very gifted and has a dynamic testimony and ministry. He is Dr. Avery Danage, Sr. You don’t want to miss him share.

How are you coming along with your Daily Bread Devotional Challenge? Stay with it! It’s a blessing! Desperate Solutions is the subject for today from the prophetic book of Isaiah 22. I completely relate, do you? I have been blessed doing this with you. I will soon be asking for testimonials from those who are participating. It helps to increase the fellowship and spiritual growth as a whole. I want what is best for you all and His word is it!

I hope you are taking advantage of the vaccination opportunities that is being provided by the Portsmouth Health Department and EBC. We want to help keep you protected from the virus COVID-19. The more of us who get vaccinated the better it will be for our families and communities, and even the reentry back in our building for worship.

Peace be with you all! From our hearts to yours, First Lady Chanda and Pastor L. Hill, Jr.
